Despite ending the season on a four-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Chargers have decided to part ways with head coach Anthony Lynn. Los Angeles made the playoffs just once in four years under Lynn, and their focus is now on building around stud rookie quarterback Justin Herbert.

The presence of a record-setting rookie QB makes this one of the most interesting head coach openings in the NFL this offseason.

With that in mind, here are three likely replacements for Lynn as Chargers head coach.

3. Joe Brady, Offensive Coordinator, Carolina Panthers

Joe Brady is just 31 years old, but he's already earned a reputation as an offensive wizard. He spent two seasons with the New Orleans Saints before taking over as passing game coordinator with the LSU Tigers, helping them maximize their weapons around Joe Burrow during his Heisman season. Brady got out what he could from a depleted Carolina Panthers roster this year, and he'd be able to do serious damage with an offense led by Herbert. It'd be shrewd move by the Chargers to see what Brady can do as a head coach and could have a huge payoff.

2. Arthur Smith, Offensive Coordinator, Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans' dominance this season has been in part due to Arthur Smith's brilliance. After ranking 12th in yards and 10th in points last season, the Titans are second and fourth in those categories, respectively, this year. Smith has been able to get the most out of Ryan Tannehill as well, helping the former No. 8 pick post his best touchdown-throwing season ever (33 TDs) in 2020. Smith not only could help Herbert's development, he'd also bring a well-rounded offensive mind that should boost the Chargers' run game as well.

1. Brian Daboll, Offensive Coordinator, Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is one of the hottest names in the NFL coaching carousel, and for good reason. Daboll has helped young QB Josh Allen turn into a rising star, increasing his numbers in each of his first three seasons. After steady improvements in the offense from 2018 to 2019, Daboll has led a truly elite offense in 2020 that ranks second in both yards and points. The Chargers need someone who can help Herbert reach the star level he's flashed in his first season, and Daboll is absolutely the man for the job.
