There's been a lot of legendary names that have played for the Denver Broncos throughout franchise history. One of the most memorable names on the defensive side of the ball is cornerback Champ Bailey. Bailey commands an ultimate respect from Broncos fans after his incredible 10-year run in Denver.

That's why when he speaks up, especially when talking about incoming rookies, it should be taken seriously. Bailey did just that on a recent podcast when asked about the Broncos selection of Patrick Surtain II with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Bailey went on to describe the selection of Surtain II as a "steal" and raved about his size and pedigree, with his father Patrick Surtain spending 11 years in the NFL.

It's hard to imagine describing a top-10 draft selection as a steal, but that goes to show how high this praise is. Coming from a Broncos legend that ranks 4th on the all-time franchise leaderboard for interceptions (34), and top-10 in solo tackles (524) and tackles for loss (32), it's notable praise.
