Browns Player to Miss Entire 2023 Season After Suffering Major Injury

The Cleveland Browns front office is currently preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft to help improve the roster for the 2023 season. Browns players, meanwhile, are busy putting in work to get ready for the approaching campaign.
Unfortunately, though, wide receiver Mike Woods II's recent offseason workout went horribly wrong.

After there were rumors that Woods suffered a significant injury while practicing with quarterback Deshaun Watson, Cleveland confirmed on Tuesday that the wideout has torn his Achilles. He will need surgery to repair the tear, and the team said he's "likely" to miss the entire 2023 season as a result.
This is just gutting news for the 2022 NFL Draft pick. The sixth-round pick saw limited use during his rookie season, hauling in five of 10 targets for 45 yards. He played 10 games for the Browns while also contributing on special teams.
Woods' expected absence is a knock to the team's wideout depth, though this group was boosted by the addition of Elijah Moore via trade this offseason. Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones will return as the top two options, while David Bell, Marquise Goodwin and Anthony Schwartz provide insurance behind the main trio.
