Browns Get Bad News With Latest Baker Mayfield Injury Update

The Cleveland Browns left their Week 6 game battered and bruised. Kareem Hunt suffered a calf injury that will sideline him for a few weeks, and quarterback Baker Mayfield aggravated a shoulder injury he picked up earlier in the year.
The latest on Mayfield is concerning news ahead of Thursday Night Football.
The #Seahawks will keep tabs on Cam Newton, but nothing has materialized as of now. They’re putting their faith in Geno Smith, and awaiting Russell Wilson’s return in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, #Browns QB Baker Mayfield’s status for Thursday night remains TBD. @nflnetwork @gmfb pic.twitter.com/kSvb87UcNn

Baker Mayfield Injury
Mayfield was adamant about playing through the injury after Week 6. He's now considered TBD, however, as he's been recommended to seek a second opinion. It's certainly a cause for concern that Mayfield needs to get additional advice on how to handle his current shoulder ailment.
The fourth-year pro has had an up-and-down season so far, which is somewhat expected given his current labrum tear. Mayfield has thrown for 1,474 yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions over the first six games.
It sounds like Mayfield still has a chance to play on Thursday, but it'll depend on how his shoulder is feeling. Cleveland would be at a major disadvantage if they must face the Denver Broncos without their starting QB and both leading rushers.
The Browns are currently 3-point favorites over Denver, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
