The Denver Broncos need all hands on deck when they take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. That includes getting wide receiver Jerry Jeudy back in the lineup after the 23-year-old exited last week's game with a rib injury and didn't return.

Fortunately, the Broncos have just received an encouraging injury update ahead of the upcoming matchup. After being absent from practice Wednesday and Thursday, Jeudy was a participant for the first time on Friday, boding well for his Week 3 playing status.

Jerry Jeudy Injury Update

While the latest update is encouraging, Jeudy isn't out of the woods just yet. It remains to be seen how the Broncos list his participation on the injury report. If he was a full participant, he has a solid shot at playing. If he was limited, chances are he'll be on the sidelines.

The last thing Denver needs is for Jeudy to miss Sunday's game against a tough 49ers team. The Broncos already lost fellow WR Tim Patrick for the year with an ACL tear, while KJ Hamler has been dealing with knee and hip injuries for the last few weeks, painting him as questionable for Week 3.

If he can play, Jeudy should see plenty of work as one of Russell Wilson's top-two targets. The former Alabama product has turned 10 targets into seven catches for 113 receiving yards and a touchdown thus far this season. Nevertheless, the 49ers will be a difficult matchup after allowing a league-low 142.5 passing yards through two games.

49ers vs Broncos Odds

The Broncos need a close-to-healthy Jeudy to help upset the 49ers this weekend. As of Friday, Denver comes in as the 1.5-point home underdog against San Francisco on FanDuel Sportsbook.
