While they have not dominated teams with blowout wins, the Green Bay Packers are in the NFC Championship, just a game away from the Super Bowl. They still face a tough road though, having to travel to San Francisco, where the 49ers are 7.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

While Green Bay is a relatively sizable underdog in this one, there are some key betting trends that suggest the Packers are capable of at least covering the spread.

The Packers have only been underdogs on four occasions this season. However, they were able to go 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in these four games. Notably, all four of those games came on the road.

Overall, they are 4-2 ATS in their last six games, winning all six games straight up. The Packers have also played their best football in the month of January in recent seasons, covering the spread in six of their last seven games during January.

On the other side, the 49ers have betting trends that work against them. San Francisco is only 4-4-1 ATS at home, where they were favorites in every game. The 49ers have also been favored in 12 games overall this season, but they've gone just 5-6-1 ATS.

While it may be a tough ask for Green Bay to win outright in San Francisco, the trends suggest that the Packers certainly have a chance to at least cover the spread come Sunday.
