Monday night's 4-3 win over the Cleveland Indians was pretty much business as usual for the Houston Astros. The pitching was solid, giving up just three runs in the game, and Yordan Alvarez had another impressive night at the dish to power the offense.

Houston now sits with a 57-38 overall record, which is a top-five mark in all of baseball. Despite all the triumphs in Monday night's win, there was a bit of concerning news surrounding the Astros' young slugger.

Yordan Alvarez Injury Update

In the process of going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs, Alvarez reportedly suffered a minor hamstring while running into second base. By his own standards, it's nothing serious. "If I wake up and I feel good like I do right now, I think I have a chance to play tomorrow," said Alvarez.

But, that decision won't solely be in his hands. The Astros are hopeful this hamstring issue is just a small tweak, but considering Alvarez's important to the lineup, don't be surprised if he's given a day or two off.

On the year, the 24-year-old slugging DH/LF is slashing .287/.355/.524 with 17 long balls and 58 RBIs. Houston is certainly gearing up for another World Series run and they'll want to keep Alvarez as close to 100 percent as possible. Right now, the Astros own +450 odds to win the 2021 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook.
