Prior to Friday night's contest with the Chicago White Sox, Houston announced the reinstatement of Correa off the COVID-19 injured list. The two-time All-Star had missed the final three games prior to the All-Star break after testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The timing of the league's All-Star break worked in Houston's favor. With a few extra days of rest, it looks like the All-Star shortstop is all systems go to resume his season. Correa earned his second career All-Star nod after slashing .288/.385/.510 through 82 games with 16 home runs and 52 RBIs.
