One team that's especially excited for the second half of the MLB season is the Houston Astros. After all, Houston sits in first place in the AL West with their 55-36 overall record, one of the best records in baseball.

Aside from the 3.5-game division lead and a deep roster ready for postseason baseball, the Astros recently got some positive news on the injury front in star shortstop Carlos Correa.

Prior to Friday night's contest with the Chicago White Sox, Houston announced the reinstatement of Correa off the COVID-19 injured list. The two-time All-Star had missed the final three games prior to the All-Star break after testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.

The timing of the league's All-Star break worked in Houston's favor. With a few extra days of rest, it looks like the All-Star shortstop is all systems go to resume his season. Correa earned his second career All-Star nod after slashing .288/.385/.510 through 82 games with 16 home runs and 52 RBIs.
