2022 NBA Summer League Game
Philadelphia 76ers (0-1) vs. Brooklyn Nets (0-1)
Date: Sunday, July 10, 2022
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Thomas & Mack Center — Las Vegas, NV
Coverage: ESPN3

The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets meet head-to-head in Summer League action on Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia dropped their opening game to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday by a score of 97-77. Isaiah Joe was the only player to score in double digits, leading the way with 24 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn fell just short of beating the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday in a 94-90 defeat. Cam Thomas kept up his momentum after taking home co-MVP honors in last year's Summer League by dropping 31 points. Second-year pro David Duke also balled out with 22 points and 3 assists.

Brooklyn enters this contest as a slight favorite on the moneyline and spread. This 3:30 p.m. ET clash also features the fourth-lowest total of Sunday's eight-game slate.

76ers vs Nets Prediction & Pick

The 76ers turned the ball over 25 times and shot only 13-for-22 from the free throw line on Saturday. It was ugly. However, Isaiah Joe continues to show that he is willing to carry this team on his back. Seeing improvement from Charles Bassey and Jaden Springer could take this team to another level.

With no drafted rookies on the roster, the Nets were a two-man show with Thomas and Duke on Friday night. Both players were on the court for 30-plus minutes and put up a combined 40 shots. It's a risky strategy to put into place considering it gives opposing team a clear focus on defense.

I'll take a chance on a young 76ers squad to keep this one close and cover the +3.5 spread (-108).
