The Chargers' stud running back stated he has no concrete timetable for his return. As of now, he'll make his decision to play based on how he's feeling physically.
Melvin Gordon provided an update on his knee injury: "No timetable. It’s about how I feel. I’m doing a lot better. I’m able to walk without limping, but still a little sore here and there." #Chargers— Gilbert Manzano (@GManzano24) December 5, 2018
A Week 14 return still isn't likely, but the fact that he isn't limping is an encouraging sign that he'll return sooner rather than later.
Lynn said evaluating Melvin Gordon’s ability to change directions and protect himself in team drills will be an important indicator of whether the Wisconsin product is ready for game days.— Eric Williams (@eric_d_williams) December 5, 2018
Until he gives himself the green light to play, Gordon owners should fire up Justin Jackson and Austin Ekler this weekend. Both will have a ton of upside thanks to a favorable matchup against a Cincinnati Bengals defense that has given up the most fantasy points to running backs this year.
