As Cincinnati Bengals stud wide receiver A.J. Green sat sidelined with a worsening toe injury Sunday, the team's No. 1 receiver position remained wide open for the taking in Week 10.

John Ross answered the call, noticeably shining brighter than Tyler Boyd – the Bengals receiver most were expecting to rise to the occasion in Green's absence

Even though Ross caught only two passes against the New Orleans Saints in the Bengals 51-14 loss, he still saw six total targets from Andy Dalton for a much-improved volume share.

Ross made those two receptions count too, with a touchdown reception and 39 total yards.

On the other hand, Boyd finished with three catches for 65 yards on two fewer targets (four) than Ross.

The biggest takeaway from Ross' Week 10 performance is how bright his future looks atop the Bengals WR depth competing with Boyd, especially until Green makes his expected return in Week 13
