It's not unusual to see a fringe AP Top-25 team listed as an underdog on the road against an unranked opponent, if betting history is any indication. But the Houston Cougars find themselves in a league of their own with the current point spread for their game against the No. 21 University of South Florida Bulls.

Houston is a 7.5-point favorite for their tilt with USF, marking the first time in 40 years that an unranked team is more than a field goal favorite over a team with a record of 7-0 or better.

While the Bulls are undefeated at this point in the season, they haven't been great on the defensive side of the ball. Let's just put it this way -- if you end up surrendering 30 points to a one-win UConn football team that was averaging 13.2 points a game against FBS competition, there's definitely something wrong.

With that in mind, it makes sense some that Houston is favored by a historic margin, considering they own the second-highest scoring offense in the nation (48.7 points per game). The question is, can the Bulls keep up? With an over/under of 75, there will surely be lots of points scored on Saturday afternoon.
