With Cleveland Indians' starter Mike Clevinger likely to miss the next six-to-eight weeks with a strained back, his many fantasy baseball owners are surely scouring the waiver wire looking for a viable replacement.

Clevinger had pitched 12 scoreless innings and racked up 22 strikeouts prior to the injury, so this is obviously a tough blow for his fantasy owners. But all is not lost, as there are solid starting pitchers likely available on your league's waiver wire to help ease the pain of losing Clevinger for an extended period of time.

Here are four waiver wire fantasy options to consider picking up.

4. Domingo German, SP, New York Yankees

Domingo German has surrendered just two earned runs while pilling up 10 strikeouts and picking up two wins in two starts this season. The New York Yankees are one of the best offenses in baseball, which could help German earn some extra wins, even when he doesn't pitch his best. If you're looking for a strikeouts and/or wins boost, German could be a solid investment as he's available in more than 50 percent of ESPN and Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues.

3. Carlos Rodon, SP, Chicago White Sox

Carlos Rodon got knocked around in yesterday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays, but he had been pitching very well before that. In his first two starts, he racked up 15 Ks in 11 1/3 inning pitched to go along with a win and a quality start. If someone in your league lost confidence in Rodon and happened to dropp him, he could be an excellent fill in for Clevinger. Rodon has a 3.33 ERA through three starts, and he's struck out a whopping 24 batters in 16 innings this season. The former top prospect is well worth a waiver wire pickup for pitcher-needy teams.

2. Yonny Chirinos, SP/RP, Tampa Bay Rays

Yonny Chirinos has been virtually unhittable this season, but he's still available in 25 percent of ESPN and 45 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues. The Tampa Bay Rays' starter has surrendered one earned run and four hits through 12 innings this season, and has also struck out 11. Chirinos offers more versatility than the others on this list, as he's eligible at SP and RP in many leagues. If he keeps up this pace, he projects as an excellent replacement for Clevinger.

1. Matthew Boyd, SP, Detroit Tigers

While Clevinger's 22 strikeouts through 12 innings may look somewhat irreplaceable, the Detroit Tigers' Matthew Boyd has actually managed to exceed that total. Boyd has racked up 23 Ks through 11 1/3 innings and has a 3.18 ERA through two starts this season. While Boyd likely won't win as many games as a pitcher like German or Clevinger, he should be an excellent source of strikeouts over the next two months.
