3 Possible Trade Destinations for Mike Minor
By Zach Brunner

The July 31 MLB Trade Deadline is only a couple weeks away, meaning trade rumors are in full force. It was recently reported it's likely that the Texas Rangers will move Mike Minor before the deadline.
Owed just $9.83 million, it would be a bargain for an All-Star pitcher that has a 2.73 ERA this season. If the Rangers do trade the Minor, these are three possible destinations for the left-hander.
1. Milwaukee Brewers
With a 43.3 percent ground-ball rate and a 38.4 percent fly-ball rate, Minor's pitching style would likely lead to success at Miller Park. He would help bolster and add depth to Milwaukee's rotation and the Brewers have a history of working with the Rangers, most recently in the trade that acquired reliever Alex Claudio.
2. Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies have also been rumored to be after a left-hander, which may lead them to the pursuit of Minor. He would would potentially vault to the top of rotation that is right-handed heavy with Aaron Nola, Jake Arrieta, Vince Velasquez, Zach Eflin and Nick Pivetta. If Minor went to the Phillies, one of the latter three names would likely head to the bullpen.
3. New York Yankees
The Yankees have also been rumored to be in the running for Minor, and outfielder Clint Frazier is a possible asset that they could send to Texas in return for the All-Star pitcher. General manager Brian Cashman also noted that he would only move Frazier for a controllable pitcher, so Minor fits that mold.
