The 2021 NFL season was nothing short of the best case scenario for the Los Angeles Rams. After making a trade for quarterback Matthew Stafford, the Rams dominated and hoisted their first Lombardi Trophy in over two decades. LA defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, 23-20.

The Rams now turn their attention to the offseason in hopes of building a roster capable of going back-to-back. Of course, changes are inevitable in today's NFL. With that mind, here's a look at three players who won't be on Los Angeles' roster next season.

Los Angeles Rams 2022 Roster

1. Sony Michel, RB

There's no doubt that the Rams got their money's worth after trading a sixth-round pick to the New England Patriots for running back Sony Michel. The fourth-year pro led the team with 845 rushing yards on 208 carries and scored 5 total touchdowns. Michel was simply unstoppable during the month of December when starter Darrell Henderson was banged up. The only problem here is that Michel is set to enter free agency and played in just 7 snaps during the Super Bowl with Henderson as well as Cam Akers healthy. The Rams would likely love to have Michel back in 2022, but he would be the No. 3 option. That means his price tag is not going to be worth investing in.

2. Brian Allen, OL

It's safe to say the Rams wouldn't have been able to capture a Super Bowl title without the stellar efforts of their offensive linemen. Center Brian Allen stepped into a starting gig this season and played the best season of his career. However, he kept up his reputation of being an injury prone player by missing four games due to an elbow issue. Allen has yet to play a full season during his three years in the NFL and is going to draw a lot of interest in the free agent market. After all, the 26-year-old was named a Pro Bowl alternate this season. The Rams have shown in the past that they are willing to rely on young unproven linemen, so paying up to keep Allen seems unrealistic.

3. Austin Corbett, OL

Another offensive lineman that could very well be donning different uniform colors in 2022 is Austin Corbett. The 26-year-old showed off his true potential this past season by lining up at all three interior positions. Corbett has given up just 5 sacks over the course of three NFL seasons and has not missed a game over the last two years. His consistency alone will make him a popular target for teams looking for an underrated OL in free agency. Corbett's performance in the playoffs is only going to cause his price tag to jump even higher. Much like Michel and Allen, it is going to be too high for a Rams team with very little projected cap space.
