The Pittsburgh Steelers fared well last season thanks to their elite defense, but the return of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger should have fans especially excited for Week 1 against the New York Giants. The Steelers are the clear road favorites on Monday Night Football.

While the result of the game isn't expected to be shocking, there are plenty of other surprises that could occur. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Steelers against the Giants.

3. The Steelers Will Sack Daniel Jones Five Times

Pittsburgh led the league in sacks per game last season, at 3.4. As sizable favorites (5.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook), the game script is expected to be in the pass rush's favor. The Giants' offensive line also struggled at times last year, giving up an above average 2.7 sacks per game.

2. Ben Roethlisberger Will Pass for Over 350 Yards

Roethlisberger is back for the Steelers, and he has been slinging it in practice. He looks as good as he ever has, and it has been a long time since he has started the season in game shape. Look for him to look terrific in his first game action in essentially a year, playing against a terrible Giants secondary that surrendered 7.6 yards per pass attempt last season, which was the fourth-most in the league.

1. James Conner Will Run for More Than 100 Yards

The Steelers had a 100-yard rusher just once last season, when James Conner was able to eclipse this mark in Week 8. Having Big Ben back not only helps out the passing game, but it will force the defense to actually respect the passer, opening up running lanes. It was reported that Conner is expected to be an every-down type of player in the Pittsburgh backfield. He is also healthy, which isn’t always the case, so he could take advantage of this and have a big day.
