Football is back! The Denver Broncos will be facing the Atlanta Falcons in the 2019 Hall of Fame game. There is a lot of young talent to get excited about on this Denver team, but these are the three most important players to watch on Thursday night, specifically when it comes to potential fantasy implications.

1. Royce Freeman, RB

After struggling to find success in his rookie year and getting out-shined by an undrafted rookie, this is a big year for Royce Freeman to prove the doubters wrong and show everyone why the Broncos drafted him in the third round. The coaching staff has reportedly been impressed with Freeman this offseason, to the point that the backfield is rumored to be a 50/50 split between him and the electric Phillip Lindsay. While his appearance will likely be a short one, Freeman should use every opportunity tonight to show us the new number 28.

2. Drew Lock, QB

After contract disputes to begin his rookie training camp, Drew Lock enters the Hall of Fame Game as the third-string quarterback, though depth chart placement doesn't mean much at this point. Believe it or not, Joe Flacco isn't the future for the Broncos. While Lock's field time may be limited in his rookie year, it will be interesting to see how he performs during his first live NFL action. If he impresses, it only shortens the leash for the "elite" Flacco.

3. Courtland Sutton, WR

There has been mixed reports around second-year receiver Courtland Sutton. Many saw his big play ability last season and have talked him up as a potential breakout, especially after the Broncos acquired Flacco, whose strong arm theoretically pairs well with Sutton. On the other side, Sutton has been relatively quiet in camp. He's made some big catches, but he's also had drops and has been quietly working on expanding his route tree. We may get a short chance to see Sutton's expanded capabilities in the offense, showing he is more than a one trick pony, but consistency throughout preseason will be what raises Sutton's fantasy draft stock for the 2019 campaign.
