The 2021 Tokyo Olympics will feature a diverse mix of new and old events. With several different types of swimming competitions scheduled, a lot of eyes will be on the women's 50m freestyle race.

Australia's Cate Campbell is the favorite to win this year's gold medal for the women's 50m freestyle at +240 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. While she hasn't won a gold medal in the sport before, Campbell did place fifth at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics with a time of 24.15.

Fellow Australian teammate Emma McKeon has the second-best odds to win gold at +300, while the Netherlands' Ranomi Kromowidjojo rounds out the top three at +470. Meanwhile, Pernille Blume (DEN), who won gold in Rio de Janeiro, sits at +550 odds.
