It was announced on Friday afternoon that Indianapolis Colts' star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton would indeed be sitting out their Week 9 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers as he nurses a calf injury.

Unfortunately for Hilton's fantasy owners, the news also comes with the chance this injury keeps him sidelined for multiple weeks to come.

Colts WR Depth Chart

With Hilton out, the Colts will turn to the receivers next in line, such as Zach Pascal and Parris Campbell, while Pascal will likely slot in as the team's new No. 1 receiving option.

Pascal has seen an up-and-down season, even with Hilton on the field. In his lone game with Hilton sidelined this season, Pascal recorded four catches for 72 yards in the Colts' Week 4 loss to the Oakland Raiders. With Hilton now expected to be out for a more extended period, the Colts might choose to game plan more around Pascal, providing him better volume and opportunity.

His matchup against the Steelers is a decent one, as Pittsburgh's passing defense currently ranks No. 13 in the NFL. While the matchup might not be the most ideal of the Week 9 slate, the prospect of higher volume and prominence in the offense should give Hilton's owners a legitimate option to consider.

Parris Campbell Fantasy Outlook

Parris Campbell is the other name that will also get bumped up the depth chart. The former Ohio State product has shown flashes, but has largely been fantasy irrelevant this season. Although, the one positive sign in all of this for Campbell is that in the Week 4 game that Hilton sat out, Campbell turned in his best game of the season in terms of receptions (five) and yards (25). It's not the best stat line, but at least the targets are there.

Overall, both receivers should provide volume, which is all you can ask for in a replacement for Hilton. Even if this Week 9 matchup isn't the best one, it's worth noting it should only get better for these two Colts' WRs down the road. The Colts face off against the worst defense in the NFL in Week 10, when Indianapolis takes on the Miami Dolphins at home.
