One fun effect of baseball being played with no fans in 2020 is that the TV mics are picking up more on-field comments from the players. These can often be unsavory comments that the league and TV networks would surely prefer to stay quiet. That's not the case when Zach Greinke is on the mound though.
Greinke threw a wild pitch against the Oakland Athletics, and the mics picked up his reaction.
For most people, throwing a wild pitch would bring out a handful of different four-letter words. For the wholesome Greinke, "oh my goodness!" was the expletive of choice.
This pitch aside, Greinke seems to be thriving with no fans in the stands this year. His 2.68 ERA is on pace to be his best since 2015, and he's yet to record a loss in 7 starts.
Despite a disappointing start to the year, the Astros are still tied for the fifth-best odds to win the World Series (+1400) on FanDuel Sportsbook.
