The Philadelphia Eagles are going to be without their No. 1 option this week, as Zach Ertz has been officially ruled out for the team's Week 17 game against the New York Giants.

With Ertz sidelined, Dallas Goedert's fantasy outlook gets a significant boost.

The 2018 second-round pick logged 65 snaps against the Dallas Cowboys last week. That translated to a game-high nine receptions on 12 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown. For reference, no other Philadelphia player saw more than six targets.

Since Week 11, Goedert has finished with double-digit fantasy points in four of his six games during that span. He's also averaging 13.9 PPR points over his last three, which would put him at TE3 on a per-game basis if projected out over a full 16-game season.

The Giants have actually been somewhat stingy against tight ends, allowing the 13th-fewest PPR points to the position this season. In Week 14's matchup, however, Ertz finished as the TE1 with 30.1 points in the No. 1 role.

Ertz was the TE3 before being officially ruled out in our Week 17 PPR rankings, and Goedert should be safe to fire up as a top-10 option on Sunday.
