Would You Rather: Start Phillip Lindsay or Royce Freeman in Fantasy Football Week 7

On Thursday Night Football in Week 7, the Denver Broncos will host their divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs. With fantasy relevance on both sides in this matchup, one of the biggest decisions that some have to make is choosing between the Denver running backs, Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, in fantasy.

According to @SportsInfo_SIS, both rushers rank inside the top-10 in broken tackle%.
With four teams on bye, both are strong plays Thursday against a KC D allowing 5+ YPC to RBs this year. #FantasyFootball
The Broncos have split backfield touches between Lindsay and Freeman this season, often taking an in-game hot-hand approach to see who gets the majority of the touches. So far, overall, that has been Lindsay, who has seen 103 touches to Freeman's 87 this season. This has resulted in 544 total yards for Lindsay and 429 for Freeman.

These workloads have led to Lindsay being ranked RB13 for the season and Freeman being RB26 in PPR scoring. For this week, we have Lindsay ranked at RB12 in our Week 7 PPR rankings, facing a soft Chiefs defensive front that has surrendered over five yards per carry and will be missing its top defensive lineman in Dee Ford. Freeman comes in at RB32 in our rankings, giving him flex value for the week.
Looking towards the rest of the season, Lindsay should continue to have more value than Freeman, possessing more shiftiness and athleticism, which gives him big play ability on an offense that lacks consistent playmakers.
