Alabama's Jerry Jeudy and Oklahoma's CeeDee Lamb have easily been two of college football's most productive receivers over the past two seasons. And based on their combine performances and production at the college level, both prospects have a strong case to be the first wideout taken off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft. However, you can't help but wonder which of the two has the stronger case.

Similar builds and their nearly-identical production over the last two seasons makes deciding between Jeudy and Lamb difficult on the surface. However, the different skill sets that both receivers bring to the table should give NFL teams a hint as to which player is worth selecting.

A sharp route-runner with strong linear speed and enough strength to beat press coverage, Jeudy is arguably the most well-rounded receiver in the draft, capable of lining up both outside the hashes and in the slot. Unlike his counterpart, Lamb likely still needs to work on his route-running in order to be just productive at the next level, but what he lacks in technique, he makes up for in big-play ability.

Using top-end quickness and blazing speed to separate from defenders, Lamb can do some serious damage when he beats his man. During the 2019 season, the Oklahoma product averaged 21.4 yards per reception thanks to his ability to make defenders miss in the open field, averaging whopping 11.1 yards after the catch per reception too.

Both prospects are talented receivers, but when it comes to who's worth drafting, it all boils down to what skill sets receiver-needy teams are looking for. Lamb's big-play ability is incredibly enticing and he should be a game-breaker for any team looking to use him as such.

Jeudy, on the other hand, should be the preferred prospect for teams that are looking for a well-rounded receiver, which in turn could make him a safer — and more preferred — pick to most teams around the league.
