Will Grier Starting for Panthers Hurts D.J. Moore Fantasy Outlook in Week 16
By Max Staley

The Carolina Panthers have apparently seen enough of Kyle Allen, electing to bench him in favor of their third-round 2019 NFL Draft pick, Will Grier.
With Carolina taking on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16, Grier won't likely be a viable fantasy option, but this decision could hurt D.J. Moore's fantasy outlook a bit.

Will Grier Fantasy Football Outlook in Week 16
Grier hasn't played a snap in an NFL regular-season game yet, and he'll be really difficult to trust in the fantasy football championships this week. The Colts are the No. 14 team in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA rankings.
Unless you're truly desperate, it's probably best to avoid starting Grier this week.
D.J. Moore Fantasy Football Outlook in Week 16
Allen hadn't been playing well recently, but he had been finding Moore on a remarkably consistent basis. Since Week 9, Moore has the most receiving yards in the NFL (711), the most air yards (913) and his 26 percent target share ties him for the eighth-best mark among all wideouts during that span.
Moore is playing well enough that this move shouldn't ultimately matter too much for his own fantasy value, but the uncertainty with a rookie QB making his first career start (on the road, no less) does ding his value a little bit.
He's playing far too well to even think about benching him though, and Moore checks in at WR14 in our Week 15 fantasy football PPR rankings.
DJ Moore just wen't over 1,000 yards for the season with that 39-yard catch.

First Carolina WR to do that since Kelvin Benjamin in 2014.
Of course, Christian McCaffrey, fantasy's No. 1 RB in any format, should more or less remain unaffected by this shift as well. Fire him up as the overall RB1, just as you would any other week.
