The San Diego Padres look to bounce back from Friday's loss to the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, but they will have to do so without a key member of the lineup again.

Outfielder Wil Myers is absent from San Diego's lineup ahead of Saturday afternoon's contest as he continues to deal with a minor thumb injury.

Wil Myers Injury Update

Myers suffered the injury in his final at-bat on Thursday. The Padres are officially calling his minor ailment "thumb soreness" and aren't expecting the All-Star to miss significant time.

After scoring 12 runs against the Braves on Thursday, including a two-hit and two-RBI performance from Myers, the Padres managed just two runs Friday. Matt Beaty is penciled into the lineup to replace Myers in right field.

On the year, Myers is slashing .219/.242/.281 across 32 at-bats, but has already smashed a pair of doubles.

San Diego enters Saturday's tilt, which starts at 1:05 p.m. PT, as -112 moneyline favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB Odds.
