The Minnesota Vikings dominated much of the first half, taking a 13-10 lead with about 20 seconds left in the second quarter. The New Orleans Saints actually had a chance to tie the game at the end of the second quarter, largely thanks to a brilliant kick return from Deonte Harris, but Wil Lutz missed the 43-yard field goal.

While this miss obviously impacted the Saints' chances of winning this game, it also had significant implications for first-half bettors. Lutz's field goal would've caused the first-half over to hit, pushing the game's total to 26 points, and the miss was likely a gut punch for over bettors as it kept things at 23.

The miss certainly didn't help bettors who took the over for this game, either. With a combined total of 23 points at the end of the first half, this game will have to see quiet a bit of action for the over to hit, as it closed at 50 points.

We'll have to see whether or not the Saints can turn it around in the second half, but the missed field goal from Lutz is certainly a tough break – for Saints fans and bettors alike.
