If there's one division in MLB baseball that may already be locked up, it's definitely the AL Central. The Chicago White Sox are running away and currently hold a 9.5-game lead on the second-place Cleveland Indians.

With the division title in clear focus, it may be time for the White Sox to begin resting up and ensuring 100% health for the postseason. That's why the latest Jake Lake injury update is great news for Chicago.

Jake Lamb Injury

On Friday, the White Sox announced that their utility man in Lamb has be reinstated from the 10-day injured list. The 30-year-old INF/OF has been sidelined since late June with a quadriceps issue.

While Lamb isn't the most intimidating member of Chicago's lineup, he's an important depth piece. The eight-year MLB veteran can play both corner infield positions and both corners of the outfield. Through 31 games in 2021, Lamb is slashing .224/.333/.424 with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs.

Currently, the White Sox own the third-best odds to win the 2021 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook. Their odds are set at +600.
