The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a bye and will look to make it two wins in a row when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8 NFL action. The Seahawks are slated as 3.5-point home favorites in a game that is sure to have fantasy football implications.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 8 showdown.
James Robinson Fantasy
Start James Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: After a slow start to the season, James Robinson is on fire scoring a touchdown in each of his last four games. The second-year pro has seen at least 19 touches per game and ranks as the RB6 in PPR scoring leagues during that same span. Robinson has a perfect opportunity to keep his momentum going against a Seahawks' defense that is giving up the second-most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs. Opponents have run the ball against Seattle a league-leading 192 times this season. Look for Jacksonville to do the same and lean on Robinson to have another big game.
Alex Collins Fantasy
Start Alex Collins, RB, Seattle Seahawks: It was tough sledding for running back Alex Collins last week, but there was one positive to take away from the game. The Seahawks have shown a commitment to running the ball as Collins has seen at least 15 carries in each of three starts this season. Seattle's passing attack has been disappointing to say the least, so it wouldn't be shocking for Collins to keep that streak going in Week 8. The Jaguars have given up 8 rushing touchdowns on the season, which ties for the second-highest mark in the NFL. Collins' touchdown upside this week warrants a FLEX start.
Laviska Shenault Fantasy
Sit Laviska Shenault, Wr, Jacksonville Jaguars: It hasn't been exactly the breakout season some fantasy managers were hoping for from Laviska Shenault. The Jaguars' wide receiver has yet to score a touchdown this season after reaching the end zone five times as a rookie. It doesn't look like that'll change in Week 8 as the Seahawks have allowed just 6 receiving touchdowns to opposing WRs (T-No. 11 in NFL). More importantly, Shenault is playing second fiddle to veteran Marvin Jones. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence has shown a tendency to favor Jones down the field and that leaves Shenault as a bench player this week.
Tyler Lockett Fantasy
Sit Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks: One of the more shocking developments of the fantasy football season has been the recent struggles of Seahawks' wide receiver Tyler Lockett. The speedy route-runner cannot seem to get on the same page with quarterback Geno Smith. Lockett has hauled in just 4 of his 10 targets for 47 yards over the last two weeks. He hasn't scored since Week 2 and isn't getting open on his usual deep routes. Lockett draws a great matchup in Week 8 going up against a poor Jaguars' secondary, but he has has shown no reason to be started until Russell Wilson is back leading the offense. Sit Lockett on Sunday.
