Week 16 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Chargers vs Texans in Fantasy Football Playoffs

The Los Angeles Chargers will look to rebound from their overtime loss against the Kansas City Chiefs when they take on the Houston Texans. FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Los Angeles listed as hefty 10-point favorites.
Fantasy Football Playoffs Advice
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 16 showdown.
Justin Jackson Fantasy
Start Justin Jackson, RB, Los Angeles Chargers: If you've got a Charger named Justin on your fantasy team, you're going to start them this week. Herbert is a must-start as always, but Justin Jackson looks poised to take on a big role with Austin Ekeler looking very doubtful for Week 16. If Ekeler is out, Jackson would be in line for a huge workload against a Houston defense that owns a bottom-six run defense by DVOA and allows top-six PPR production to opposing RBs. He also turned 14 touches into 99 yards from scrimmage last week against a much tougher Chiefs' defense. Look for an even bigger game if Ekeler can't suit up this week.
Brandin Cooks Fantasy
Start Brandin Cooks, WR, Houston Texans: As has been the case for most of the year, Brandin Cooks is pretty much the only Texan worth starting. Cooks has put up at least 18.0 PPR points in back-to-back starts – both of which came with Davis Mills under center. He should be just fine this week, even against a stingy Chargers' secondary. The only drawback here is that Cooks was recently added to the COVID list. Fantasy managers will need to be checking his status throughout the week to ensure he actually plays.
Joshua Kelley Fantasy
Sit Joshua Kelley, RB, Los Angeles Chargers: Jackson shined in an increased role last week, but Joshua Kelley most certainly did not. Jackson turned 13 carries into 86 rushing yards, while Kelley turned 7 carries into just 21 yards. Jackson is clearly the backup you want to start if Ekeler can't suit up.
Rex Burkhead Fantasy
Sit Rex Burkhead, RB, Houston Texans: It's pretty bleak for the Texans when it comes to fantasy options. While Rex Burkhead has seen at least 15 touches in back-to-back weeks, he's not someone you want to be starting. Yes, the Chargers are one of the best fantasy matchups for a running back. But Burkhead isn't likely to see enough volume to take advantage of that, as LAC is a hefty 10-point favorite. As a general rule of thumb, you're probably better off avoiding the Texans in general this week.
