Week 15 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Dallas Cowboys vs Los Angeles Rams
Now that we're in the heart of the fantasy football playoffs, every single lineup decision you make can be the difference between victory and the end of your season. And since we're done with bye weeks for the year, there are also a huge number of plays to consider at every position. Some matchups carry more weight than others for fantasy production, and this one is no exception.
With that in mind, here is some start 'em, sit 'em advice for Sunday's matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams.
Start Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Michael Gallup's last three games have been fairly pedestrian by his standards, averaging 4.3 receptions and 75.7 yards per game with no TDs. That was a stretch of three brutal matchups though, against the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears. The Rams are no cakewalk either, but they rank lower in Football Outsiders' pass defense DVOA metric than any of those last three teams, and they are in the middle of the pack for fantasy purposes, allowing the 17th-most PPR points to wideouts (compared to 24th or lower for each of the last three). Averaging 8.4 targets per game, Gallup should be in for a bounce-back performance here.
Start Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams: Robert Woods has taken over as the Rams' top WR in recent weeks. The last two weeks have seen him average a massive 13.5 targets and 22.9 PPR fantasy points per game, and he ranks second among all WRs in per-game fantasy production since Week 10.
Sit Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott has been especially good at home this season, but a matchup with the Rams takes away a lot of his fantasy value this week. The Rams have held opposing QBs to 16.1 fantasy points per game (12th-fewest in the NFL), and they check in as a top-10 pass defense by DVOA. Dak doesn't crack the top 12 QBs in our Week 15 fantasy football rankings.
Sit Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams: Woods' breakout has come with a huge downgrade for Cooper Kupp. After averaging 10.9 targets and 21.0 PPR points per game through Week 8, Kupp has averaged 5.4 targets and 10.2 PPR points in five games since. The Cowboys have held opposing wideouts to bottom-10 fantasy production, and as the Rams' No. 2 WR (at best), Kupp is hard to trust this week.
