Week 14 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for the Broncos vs Panthers
By Larry Rupp

Two teams on the outside of the playoffs looking in meet head-to-head in Week 14 as the Denver Broncos (4-8) head east to take on the Carolina Panthers (4-8). The Broncos are looking to snap a two-game losing streak and head into this one as 3.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL betting odds.
If you need help with your fantasy football lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for the Week 14 Broncos-Panthers showdown.
Tim Patrick Fantasy
Start Tim Patrick, WR, Denver Broncos: There seems to be a lot of chemistry building between wide receiver Tim Patrick and his quarterback Drew Lock. In the last two games in which Lock started, Patrick has a 100-yard game and a 2-touchdown game. He played in 89% of the offensive plays last week and is becoming a go-to option in the passing game. He leads all Bronco's wide receivers with 8 redzone targets on the season and now faces a Panther's defense that gave up over 300 passing yards in their last game. While it may seem risky in the first round of the playoffs, starting Tim Patrick may be the type of move that wins you your matchup this week.
Robby Anderson Fantasy
Start Robby Anderson, WR, Carolina Panthers: The Panthers are currently struggling with health right now and that includes having to place wide receivers Curtis Samuel and DJ Moore on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Robby Anderson could be in for an even bigger day than usual if either or both of those receivers are not cleared to play on Sunday. Anderson is seeing a steady 8.5 targets per game this season and is coming off a game in which he caught 4 of 7 targets for 94 yards and scored a touchdown. He seems to have become quarterback Teddy Bridgewater's top option in the passing game once again and that should make you feel comfortable starting him this week.
Jerry Jeudy Fantasy
Sit Jerry Jeudy, Wr, Denver Broncos: While Patrick is building chemistry with Lock, the opposite seems to be happening with rookie Jerry Jeudy. He has surpassed 70 receiving yards in a game just twice this season and hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 9. He has seen an average of 7.0 targets over the past four games, but has hauled in 8 passes for a total of 110 yards over that span. The Panthers are no easy matchup as they have given up 11 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers all season (T-No. 10 in the NFL). Unless Jeudy's production starts to ramp up, it would be smart to keep him on your bench. He is borderline droppable at this point.
Mike Davis Fantasy
Sit Mike Davis, RB, Carolina Panthers: It is still up in the air as to whether or not starting running back Christian McCaffrey will suit up and play this Sunday. Obviously, Mike Davis would return to a backup role if McCaffrey is active. Even if Davis remains the starter, he is not worth starting in fantasy football this week. Davis is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry in his last two games and hasn't posted double-digit fantasy points since Week 6. He simply isn't seeing the workload he was when he first took over as the starter anymore. While Davis will be a valuable depth piece and handcuff in the fantasy football playoffs, he should stay on your bench moving forward.
