The San Francisco 49ers will look to bounce back from a tough Week 13 loss when they go on the road to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14 NFL action. FanDuel Sportsbook has the 49ers slated as 1-point favorites in what is one of the closest spread on the schedule.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 14 clash.
Deebo Samuel Fantasy
Start Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers: It's possible that wide receiver Deebo Samuel is able to return to the field in Week 14 after missing last week's action with a soft-tissue injury, If so, he should slide right back into a starting spot in fantasy lineups. Samuel has only racked up 27 receiving yards over the last two weeks, but he has posted 145 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns during that same span. His versatility gives him a ton of upside in a matchup against a Bengals' defense that is giving up 5.6 yards per play this year (T-No. 20 in NFL).
Joe Burrow Fantasy
Start Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals: Quarterback Joe Burrow had a tough go of it last week throwing committing three turnovers. While he is also dealing with a pinky injury, it's hard to overlook the matchup he has in front of him in Week 14. The 49ers are giving up the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing QBs and are allowing the fifth highest opponent completion percentage in the NFL (68.6%). Cincinnati's playoff hopes are on the line and playing in front of a home crowd should motivate Burrow to put together an all-around solid game on Sunday. Back the former LSU standout to finish as a QB1.
Jeff Wilson Jr. Fantasy
Sit Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, San Francisco 49ers: Starting running back Elijah Mitchell is trending toward being inactive for San Francisco's Week 14 game and that would give Jeff Wilson another opportunity to start. The veteran ball-carrier rushed for just 50 yards on 19 carries during his only start on the year back in Week 11, though. He is dealing with his own injury issues (knee) and the Bengals have been stout against the run. Cincinnati is allowing the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game (92.5) as well as 4.1 yards per carry (T-No. 8 in NFL). This has the looks of being a pass-heavy game for the 49ers, which means Wilson should be kept on the bench.
Ja'Marr Chase Fantasy
Sit Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: This one is tough. Dynamic rookie Ja'Marr Chase has been a breakout player in fantasy football this season. The simple fact is that he only ranks as the No. 36 WR in fantasy scoring from Weeks 8 through 13. He has failed to top 52 receiving yards in any of his last five games after doing so in each of his first seven. Fellow WR Tee Higgins has seemingly taken back his role as Burrow's go-to option with 22 targets over the last two weeks. Everything lines up for Chase to be a touchdown-dependent WR this week. The risk of him putting up another dud is enough to warrant a move to the bench for now.
