Week 13 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Jaguars vs Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are focused on snapping a three-game losing skid when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars in a Week 13 matchup. The Rams are currently listed as 13-points favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 13 showdown.
Carlos Hyde Fantasy
Start Carlos Hyde, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: James Robinson's Week 13 status could be in jeopardy after injuries held him out of Thursday's practice. If he misses Sunday's game, Carlos Hyde is an easy start for fantasy managers. After all, the 31-year-old veteran saw 23 opportunities (21 carries, two targets) the last time Robinson sat out. The Rams aren't the easiest matchup on paper, however, they have given up an average of 20.5 fantasy points to running backs. That's more than enough volume to be a solid flex play with RB2 upside.
Van Jefferson Fantasy
Start Van Jefferson, WR, Los Angeles Rams: With a lot of people focusing on Odell Beckham Jr.'s 54-yard touchdown last week, it's easy to overlook that Van Jefferson had a solid showing of his own. He finished with 18.3 PPR fantasy points, which was good enough to be WR13. In fact, he's quietly been WR27 since Week 7. Even with Beckham on the roster, Jefferson has averaged 8.0 targets over his last two games. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are giving up 29.4 (T-13th) to wideouts this season, so fantasy managers should be starting the sophomore pass-catcher with full confidence.
Trevor Lawrence Fantasy
Sit Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Fantasy owners hoping that Trevor Lawrence could translate his college success into the NFL have been left disappointed. The rookie gunslinger is averaging 13.81 fantasy points and enters Week 13 as QB22. He has just one touchdown pass in his last four games and has finished with 162 or fewer passing yards three times during that span. The matchup is even less favorable when you realize he's going against the Rams on the road. Unless you're desperate, pivot to any other quarterback option available.
Tyler Higbee Fantasy
Sit Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams: Tyler Higbee has struggled this fantasy season, proven by his status as TE17 in PPR formats. He has just one touchdown in his last six games, finishing with 25 or fewer receiving yards in three of his last four. While the Jaguars are giving up the 13th-most fantasy points to tight ends, Higbee's 45% catch rating over his last three games doesn't paint him as the most trustworthy option. If you have no other options at TE, temper expectations for Higbee going forward unless proven otherwise.
