Wayne Gallman Fantasy Value Already Soaring as Saquon Barkley Injury Replacement

When Saquon Barkley went down in Week 3, there was suddenly a huge void left in the New York Giants' offense. Wayne Gallman was the next man up, but it remained to be seen whether he could thrive in Barkley's role in a new-look offense with Daniel Jones at the helm.

The early returns have been encouraging, though, as two touchdowns in the first half against the Washington Redskins is a great sign that Gallman will remain an every-week fantasy starter until Barkley returns.

Replacing Barkley is no easy task. He touched the ball 352 times as a rookie, and through the first two weeks of the 2019 season he saw 29 carries and 13 targets.

Gallman only saw five carries in relief of Barkley in Week 3, but his workload quickly picked up in Week 4. At the half, Gallman has 14 touches for 80 yards and two scores.

Gallman has firmly established himself as a valuable asset moving forward, having already piled up 20.0 fantasy points in standard leagues in the first half alone.

Not every matchup is going to be as easy as this one against Washington, but getting workhorse volume will keep Gallman in play as a starter in any matchup until Barkley is back in action.
