Washington Makes Major Shakeup at Kicker

Kicker has been a troublesome position for the Washington Football Team this season. Veteran Dustin Hopkins was released in favor of Chris Blewitt, who struggled mightily over his first two games.
The bye week gave head coach Ron Rivera a chance to reevaluate the position, and he's opted for a shakeup once again.
We have made multiple roster moves:
— Washington Football Team (@WashingtonNFL) November 9, 2021
-Signed K Joey Slye
-Released K Chris Blewitt
Washington Kicker
Blewitt has been cut just two games into his tenure with Washington. WFT is bringing in veteran Joe Slye to replace him.
Slye started his career with the Carolina Panthers, hitting 54-of-68 FG attempts (79.4%) over two seasons. He has spent time with both the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers this year as a fill-in for their injured kickers. He's nailed 11-of-13 FG attempts (84.6%) and 9-of-12 PATs (75.0%).
Hopefully Washington's struggles at kicker will finally be put behind them as Slye takes over with something to prove.
WFT is a 9.5-point home underdog in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
