The Washington Football Team is having a great offseason as they look to build off 2020's surprising success.

The latest strong move they've made is signing former Chicago Bears tackle and Pro Bowler Charles Leno Jr. in free agency.

Charles Leno Jr. Washington

Leno has started at left tackle for every single Chicago Bears game over the last five seasons. The 2018 Pro Bowler received a very solid overall grade of 74.6 from Pro Football Focus in 2020, which is right in line with his 75.7 from that 2018 season.

Washington invested a second-round pick in offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi, and signing Leno is the perfect way to complement that pick. Leno is a veteran presence who can step in and start immediately, giving Cosmi some time to adjust at the NFL level. That's a wise decision, as some view Cosmi as a bit of developmental project.

FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds have Washington ranked second in the NFC East with +260 odds to win the division in 2021.
