The Buffalo Bills were dealt a massive blow recently after star edge rusher Von Miller was placed on the injured reserve list with a knee injury. However, instead of missing just four games, it's now been revealed Miller will be out the rest of the year after he required repairing of his ACL.
Miller tweeted out a touching message to Bills Mafia after the news came out on Wednesday.
Miller assured the Buffalo faithful "I'll be right back" following his knee procedure. The star EDGE made it clear he "couldn't be in a better spot" mentally and asked fans not to feel sorry for him. The former Super Bowl MVP also said he's "excited" for the opportunity to show his teammates "how tough" he really is.
Miller's words are amazing to hear given the circumstances. His arrival was expected to help the Bills finally break through and win a ring with this core, but he'll unfortunately have to watch his team go on a playoff run without him.
The eight-time Pro Bowl immediately made his presence felt in Buffalo, racking up 8.0 sacks over his first 10 games before going down in Week 11. Miller added another 10 tackles for loss and 11 QB hits, doing exactly what this squad hoped he would.
The veteran sounds determined to come back as good as new in 2023. His recovery will certainly be a big story for the Bills in the offseason.
