The Minnesota Vikings have rattled off three consecutive victories, improving their record to 4-1. Heading into Week 6, the Vikings will look to take care of business in a road tilt with the Miami Dolphins.
Minnesota added some help to the secondary ahead of this matchup, announcing on Tuesday that they had swiped safety Theo Jackson off the Tennessee Titans' practice squad.
Minnesota Vikings News
Jackson immediately steps onto the Vikings' 53-man roster. He slots in behind Harrison Smith and Josh Metellus on the strong safety portion of the depth chart, adding another measure of depth after Lewis Cine's brutal injury in London.
The Titans selected Jackson during the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, although he's yet to make his NFL debut. He was elevated to Tennessee's active roster for Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts, but didn't take the field during the Titans' 24-17 victory.
Jackson played college ball at the University of Tennessee, where he racked up 190 total tackles, 3 interceptions and 17 passes defended in his five years there. He'll also provide head coach Kevin O'Connell with another special teams player.
Jackson replaces Ty Chandler on the active roster after the RB was placed on the IR.
