Vikings Roster Takes Major Hit After Latest Injury Report
By Larry Rupp

The Minnesota Vikings will have to be on top of their game going up against a dangerous Arizona Cardinals' offense in Week 2. Unfortunately, they will be without a couple of key players after the latest injury report was released.
On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Anthony Barr, defensive lineman Everson Griffen and cornerback Harrison Hand will all be forced to miss action on Sunday. Meanwhile, rookie offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw will also miss his second consecutive game to open the season.

Vikings Injury News
Losing Barr's intensity on defense is going to hurt, especially against an offense that dominated in Week 1 putting up 38 points and 416.0 total yards. The Pro Bowler entered the 2021 season coming off a torn pectoral muscle and now a knee injury has contained him to the sidelines for at least the first two weeks.
The Vikings selected Darrisaw with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft hoping he can become a franchise type of player. However, he is still making his way back from a nagging groin injury. Darrisaw was limited at practice this week and reports say he could return as early as Week 3 or 4.
Without Darrisaw on the field, it could be a long day for the Vikings offensive line. Cardinal's defensive end Chandler Jones' put up a ridiculous 5-sack performance in Week 1. Vikings' fans will have to hope the team can overcome some depth issues in an attempt to avoid starting 0-2 on the season.
To make matters worse, Griffen remains in concussion protocol and Hand needs more time to recover from a hamstring issue. This depleted Minnesota squad is currently a 3.5-point road underdog against Arizona, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
