The Minnesota Vikings had a lot to look forward to during the 2022 NFL Draft, the first draft under the new regime of GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O'Connell. Minnesota ended up with 10 selections in the draft after some trades, and even picked a pair of defensive backs with their top two selections.

Unfortunately, the experts didn't believe this was a "home run" for the Vikings' new leadership. ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. released his post-draft grades for all 32 teams, and the Vikings are being majorly disrespected by his ranking.

Kiper gave the Vikings a B- for their efforts. For perspective, only two teams ranked with worse grades in the New England Patriots (C+) and Dallas Cowboys (C+). Minnesota was one of 10 teams to receive a B-.

Kiper pointed to Minnesota's second-round pick of offensive guard Ed Ingram (No. 59) as a reach, and although he liked nabbing two potential starters in the secondary, described Andrew Booth Jr. as "inconsistent."

Minnesota nabbed six players on Day 3, but Kiper thought the management's late-round picks as "nothing to write home about."

O'Connell and the front office head into the rest of the offseason with some work to do. Attention now turns to the remaining free-agents, a class headlined by names like Odell Beckham Jr. and Melvin Ingram. Minnesota has about $8 million in cap space still, so they'll need to be smart with any remaining additions.
