Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was forced to sit out his team's Week 13 loss while he recovered from a serious shoulder injury. The original diagnosis on Cook's shoulder came with an expectation that he would miss a few games to get healthy for a playoff run down the stretch.

The latest update on Cook, though, is amazing news.

Dalvin Cook News

Cook is slated to suit up on Thursday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers, barring any setbacks. That's an incredible turnaround after the RB was looking at a multiple-game absence when he first went down in Week 12.

Alexander Mattison filled in admirably for Cook last week, rushing for 90 yards and 1 TD, though Minnesota could've used their star to avoid a loss at the hands of the then-winless Detroit Lions.

Cook has rushed for 773 yards and 4 TDs this season, adding 27 receptions for 202 yards as well. His abilities as a pass-catcher will be a boost for an offense without Adam Thielen in Week 14.

The Vikings are 3-point favorites over the Steelers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
