After posting his fourth 100-yard game of the season in Week 10, Justin Jefferson is quickly making his presence felt in both the Twin Cities and the entire NFL.

Jefferson was a star offensive cog in a record-setting LSU Tigers team that won the College Football Playoff National Championship game, and it's safe to say few envisioned him being available with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Those few also clearly included the Minnesota Vikings' front office members, and especially head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman.

Prior to the Philadelphia Eagles selecting former TCU Horned Frogs WR Jalen Reagor with the No. 21 overall pick, Spielman was discussing which corner they could trade back to get with a clear assumption that the WR-needy Eagles would be taking Jefferson from them one pick ahead.

However, the second the prompt came across the wire that the Eagles had passed on Jefferson, Spielman jumped back from the defensive conversation and elected to pick him.

Now, 42 receptions for 762 yards and 3 touchdowns later, it's no wonder why the Vikings and Spielman were so elated to have him fall into their lap at No. 22 overall.
