Tim Tebow is one of the most well-known collegiate quarterbacks in recent memory. A two-time national champion, two-time SEC Player of the Year and 2007 Heisman Trophy Award winner, Tebow accomplished quite a bit in his time with the Florida Gators.
His intensely competitive nature has often been cited as the reason for his immense success. And nowhere is that more evident than in this play against the Florida State Seminoles.
Having already clinched the first down, most quarterbacks would've just slid, or tried to avoid the defender, but not Tebow.
In the open field, he put down his shoulder and flat-out leveled the would-be tackler. That this was a rivalry matchup makes it even more impressive.
Tebow was never quite able to replicate this success at the NFL level, though he does hold one surprising record, but plays like this are a solid reminder of what a special college quarterback he was.
