A pickle is one of the most unintentionally exciting plays in baseball. When you have two that happen on the same play, at the same time, it gets that much more hectic and exciting.

During a game between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Indians in 2013, that's exactly what happened.

When Alex Gordon got hung out to dry between first and second, a pickle ensued. But as soon as the two fielders took their eye off Alcides Escobar on third base, he broke for home, and none of what happened turned out to be good for the Indians.

Beating a pickle is already unlikely enough, but when you force the defense to concentrate on two different pickles, the room for error increases.

Getting one out should have been close to a guarantee, but giving up a run and also getting zero outs in the process was the worst case scenario that became a reality for Cleveland.
