Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton was one of the best to ever carry the football over his 13-year tenure, and he did it all for the Chicago Bears. Needless to say, the rival Green Bay Packers did not like Payton very much.

In the modern-day NFL, if you even shove a guy after they take one step out of bounds, you could be looking at an unnecessary roughness penalty. This was a little more than one step by Payton.

The former MVP and five-time All-Pro is ridden out of play here and then shoved much further over the Bears bench and into the medical cart. This was a blatant disregard for the rules of the game and quite frankly, it's a miracle that a brawl did not break out right then and there between these bitter rivals.

Walter Payton was known as "Sweetness" around the league, and he must have provided some here to keep his teammates from ripping the Green Bay tackler apart. The running back never needed to utilize a cheap shot, or a dirty play, he handled his business on the field. Over 21,000 career scrimmage yards did all the talking for him.
