VIDEO: Remembering When Rajon Rondo Nailed a Game-Winning Shot Against the Celtics

Point guard Rajon Rondo will forever be thought of as a Boston Celtic. That's why it's crazy that he is currently a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. It was even more crazy when he hit a game-winning shot in TD Garden, wearing that Lakers jersey.

A missed shot by Brandon Ingram quickly turned into a lose ball in the final seconds of the game. As has often been the case in Boston, Rondo was in the right place at the right time. He grabbed the rebound and hit the buzzer-beating, game-winning shot to defeat his former team.

Rondo spent his first eight-plus seasons as a member of the Celtics, being named a four-time All-Star, two-time All-Defensive First Team and winning a NBA Championship. He was known for many things, most being great, but Rondo was never known to be a scorer. He definitely wasn't known for his jump shot.

That is what made this game-winning shot so surprising. Celtics fans everywhere felt the extra sting, because they know of how many jump shots just like that Rondo missed during his time in green.
