Pickles are one of the best, most under appreciated aspects of baseball. Usually it takes a defensive miscue for a runner to get out of a jam, but some particularly savvy and speedy baserunners have been known to get it done as well.

Coco Crisp certainly fits the bill there. Check out this clip from 2012 that puts Crisp's base-running prowess on full display.

Looking more like a running back that a base runner, Crisp jukes his way out of a tag, slides under it, and quickly dives into first again, just beating the throw.

He pulled that off in a pretty high-pressure situation, too, in the bottom of the eighth with just a one-run lead.

The play didn't prove to be particularly impactful, as the Oakland Athletics would go on to win the game, 2-1, but it was an undeniably impressive feat.
