VIDEO: Remembering When Cam Newton Hilariously Called Out Clay Matthews Pre-Snap

Cam Newton is now a New England Patriot. That means the days of Tom Brady's stoic, guarded demeanor are over in New England. But Patriots fans will surely find Cam Newton's more joyful, boisterous style of play thrilling as well.

The best such example of that might've come on this a hot mic moment in 2018, when Newton called out Green Bay Packers standout Clay Matthews prior to the snap.

Matthews recognizes the play and calls out what he thinks will be a wheel route from Christian McCaffrey. Newton hilariously responds "You've been watching film, huh? That's cool, watch this." Newton backed up the talk seconds later, easily finding McCaffrey for the score.

This play really illustrates what makes Newton so great. He's going to beat you, and he's going to have fun doing it.
