Whenever Adam Dunn was at the plate, it felt like must-see TV. An absurd amount of his at-bats ended in either a home run or a strikeout. In fact, about 34.1 percent of Dunn's 8,328 plate appearances ended with a dinger or a K – often via an exaggerated swing and miss.

But one of the most electric plays of Dunn's career actually came as a base runner. Take a look at this hit he put on Chris Iannetta back in 2012.

It looks like they ripped this clip from the "MLB Slugfest" franchise. To Iannetta's credit, though, he actually manages to hang on to the ball and secure the out. That was no easy feat, as Dunn was a 6-foot-6, 285-pound man who had a full head of steam on his way to the plate.

Though the home-plate collision has been legislated out of the game, Chicago White Sox fans will surely be hoping to see this kind of commitment and drive from their team when the season kicks off.
