After 22 seasons in the NBA, Vince Carter announced his retirement back in June. The 43-year-old has accomplished many things in his professional basketball career, but he is still best known for his high-flying, impressive dunking skills.

One of Carter's most notable dunks came 20 years ago today, when he put on a show at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Following a steal, Carter took a couple of dribbles to gather himself, and we all knew a dunk was coming. France's Frédéric Weis was caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. All he could do was stand there and hope to draw a charge. Little did he know, Carter had plans to go completely over him.

The celebration following the dunk was close to becoming just as memorable. Carter punched the air in celebration as Kevin Garnett came running up. Landing that punch would have made this even more legendary.
